The Blue Flag scheme has identified beaches all over the city for its clean water quality and trash-free areas of sand. This organization has lately been approved as public beaches alongside Jumeirah and well-liked spot Kite Beach along Umm Suqeim.

Blue Flag has strict criteria and they regularly inspect the beaches- which imply that it is not easy to achieve the title. This also includes water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, safety and services.
